The 5th International Zero Suicide Summit™, a global meeting held by Zero Suicide International, was held on June 24–25, 2024, at the iconic Royal Liver Building in Liverpool, England. Co-hosted by Henry Ford Health and Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust along with the Zero Suicide Alliance and the Hines Foundation, the summit brought together 115 participants from 21 countries, representing every continent. Leaders in healthcare, community, policy and advocacy, research, and lived experience gathered to share strategies, research, and innovations aimed at one shared goal — eliminating suicide within healthcare and community systems.

The event featured a powerful lineup of international speakers, including Professor Nav Kapur of the University of Manchester, who explored the past, present, and future of suicide prevention in clinical services. The moving stories shared by 3 Dads Walking, three fathers who each lost a daughter to suicide, resonated deeply with attendees, and earned a standing ovation. In a particularly memorable moment, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales (Prince William) delivered a video message expressing gratitude to everyone working in suicide prevention and recognizing the collective effort driving this global movement.
