I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS)—also known as Denpasar International Airport — is Bali’s primary international gateway. Located in Tuban, just south of Denpasar, the airport is well connected to major global hubs across Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Middle East, making travel to Bali relatively straightforward for international attendees.
Most international travelers are eligible for Visa on Arrival (VoA), which can be obtained upon entry for a fee of approximately IDR 500,000. In addition, the Balinese government has introduced a tourism levy of IDR 150,000 for incoming visitors. Travelers are also required to complete the All Indonesia Declaration Form, which replaces the previous customs and health declaration forms. This can be completed online up to three days prior to arrival, regardless of whether items are being declared. Once these steps are completed, travelers will proceed through Immigration, Security, and Customs.
A variety of ground transportation options are available from the airport. Bluebird Taxis operate from an official taxi rank outside the arrivals area, while Grab rideshare services offer a convenient, app-based alternative for travel to destinations such as Kuta, Ubud, and Seminyak. DIRECTIONS FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE APURVA KEMPINSKI BALI
The Apurva Kempinski Bali is located approximately 30–40 minutes from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), depending on traffic conditions. From the airport, proceed east toward the roundabout and enter the Bali Mandara Toll Road, which provides a direct route toward Nusa Dua. Exit onto Bypass Ngurah Rai, then turn right onto Pintas Siligita Selatan Street. Continue along the road and turn right onto Nusa Dua Selatan Street. The resort is located approximately 2 kilometers ahead.
